Heather Slover’s Mold Remediation

Heather Slover is a single mother to 9 year old son Jeremiah and who works from home as a medical coder. For the past 2.5-3 years Heather has suffered from severe, at some times debilitating pain in her head, neck and spine and has exhausted the medical system in an attempt to find answers and relief from her pain. During the past 12 months she has been receiving treatment via Functional Medicine and Chiropractic care, spending $10,000 of her own money for treatment and draining her savings, as it is not covered under insurance. In early March, Heather decided to test her home for mold at the encouragement of a friend who had been severely impacted by mold herself. Air quality reports revealed near toxic levels of mold were found in several rooms of her home. Later, a mold inspection revealed mold growing throughout the crawlspace and on a portion of the drywall. Mold remediation is needed as well as replacing everything porous from the affected rooms; this includes all furniture, carpet and countertops in the living room, multipurpose room and kitchen. The cost for the mold remediation, in addition to replacing items within the home are estimated to be $15,000. Heather has a strong faith in the Lord and is trusting that He will provide for her needs, but she also understands that the Lord often uses people to provide for the needs of others.
