We are coming together as a community in support of Heather Scott and her children, Alex and Madeleine, who have suffered one of the greatest tragedies imaginable- the devastating loss of their beloved husband and father. Derek Scott suffered a massive stroke on Tuesday, June 6th- one from which he did not recover. In the wake of this shocking news, we are banding together to support this beautiful family as they navigate the unthinkable over these coming months.

As most of you know, Heather is one of the most generous, selfless, and supportive humans on the planet. If any need is voiced in front of her, she immediately offers her time, energy, money, expertise and support. She has been a driving and critical force behind the band programs and PTAs within her childrens' schools, working relentlessly to ensure that teachers are supported and that students are empowered. The hours of volunteer work that Heather puts in- between band programs, PTA, and her civic work- equal what most folks put into their full-time jobs. And she never asks for anything in return.
