Heather Sands
August 1, 1984 - January 18, 2022
Age: 37
Hi. My name is Suzanne Sidden, and I’m fundraising for my sweet nieces, Emily and Kayla Sands. They lost their mom Heather Sands today, January 18th.
Heather was admitted to the hospital on Sunday, January 9th after she fell trying to go to the bathroom. Heather was way sicker than any of us knew and once in the hospital her condition progressively advanced into more life threatening issues.
We then learned she was in liver failure and hemorrhaging. Unfortunately, Heather never stopped hemorrhaging. The doctors were unable to find the source of the bleeding.
On Thursday Heather was moved to the CCU at High Point Regional Hospital. She had slipped into a coma, and had to depend on life support. She was given several units of blood without success,
On Sunday we were told there was nothing else medically that could be done to help her. With her kidneys beginning to fail and all the other issues I mentioned above, the ventilator was removed from Heather on Sunday night around 8pm.
Heaven gained another angel a little before 2am on January 18th with her Mom, Karen Mounce and Grandma, Faye Troxler by her side. The family will cherish Heather’s memory forever and hold on to all the great times. As hard as it is, Heather would want us to celebrate her life and remember the good. She loved her girls and her entire family.
We are asking you to please consider helping with the funeral expenses. Any amount would be appreciated.Thank you so much for your consideration.
Hug your family members a little tighter and a little longer today and everyday. We never know when God will call us home. Please keep us all in your prayers. ❤️
