12/27/2018 UPDATE: Progress ... Heather is being released from the rehab hospital and being moved to Kingston of Ashland - 20 Amberwood Parkway, Ashland, OH 44805. This will get her a lot closer to Sean and Colin and other family and friends which will help her spirits! She is asking for a couple days to get settled in and then visitors are welcomed! We continue to be so appreciative for all the love and support from our community!!
12/04/2018 UPDATE: Great News! Heather is being released from the trauma center today. She is going to OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, 1087 Dennison Avenue, Columbus, OH 43201. Still in a lot of pain, but getting some smiles and laughs here and there! Continued positive thoughts and prayers are requested!!
11/30/2018 UPDATE: We continue to be overwhelmed by everyone's generous support!! Heather has undergone multiple surgeries with more coming. As you can imagine, she is worried about the future, but with your kind donations, we are taking some of that worry away from her.
Your donations are being deposited to her account by her brother, Aaron Dan Sage and are being managed by her other brother Luke Sage - Luke has taken over the household finances to insure her bills are paid and that her sons Sean and Colin are being taken care of. We do not know the extent of her rehabilitation, but are planning for several months (if not longer) of her not being able to go back to work.
Thanksgiving morning, Heather Sage was involved in a head-on collision while driving to work. Unfortunately the other driver, who drove left of center, passed away. Heather has five fractured vertebrae, a fractured pelvis, several fractures and dislocations in both her feet, and several blood clots. She has had halo surgery as well as surgery to install pins in her pelvis and both feet - more surgeries will follow. Several friends and family have reached out asking how they can make monetary donations for Heather and her boys, Sean (17) and Colin (13). Thank you for your continued positive thoughts and prayers!
