Heather's Cancer Journey

Please consider helping us raise money for our dear friend, Heather, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer for her hospital fees and standard bills while she misses work for her treatments and surgeries.

Heather Miller is a wonderful human. She not only is a beam of sunlight who lights up every room she walks into, but she is an extremely kind and accomodating human. Heather lives with her husband, Kenny and dog Harper June (Junie). Early in Heather's cancer journey, her previous dog, Scout, was hit by a truck and killed. Heather also owns her own massage practice which she started after leaving a toxic work environment. All of her clients absolutely adore her, and followed her journey from leaving her old job to open her own practice.

Heather is a dear friend to not only me, but everyone she comes into contact with. About 7 months ago, Heather was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. She discovered a lump on her lower stomach and the doctors were unsure of it initially. After testing, she had a colon perforation from the tumor, and had to have the perforation repaired and had to have a colostomy bag put in. After several rounds of chemotherapy, and a recent surgery in which she had to undergo a bowel and colon resection, total hysterectomy and tumor resection, she is still recovering. As a business owner, Heather has many bills, in addition to her medical bills, that are piling up. Heather's health insurance recently canceled her health insurance as well without reason or explanation, and while she is working that out, she is liable for all of her own medical bills, in addition to her normal bills, and business fees. In addition, her mother travels to and from North Carolina from Ohio to support Heather in her treatments and recovery.
