Help Heather Fight LAM
Donation protected
Hello! I’m Amy Fallucca, and I’m fundraising for my dear friend, Heather Montgomery Kaster.
Heather was diagnosed in early 2022 with Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) — a rare lung disease that mostly affects women and has no known cure. After years of procedures, hospital stays, and lung collapses, unfortunately the disease has progressed to the point that she now needs a double lung transplant.
Heather is truly one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. As a massage therapist, she’s helped countless others heal with her calming presence and incredible energy. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
We’re raising at least $50,000 to help Heather and her husband Ryan with:
• Medical bills
• Travel and living expenses in Madison post-surgery (up to 6 months)
• General relief from the enormous financial burden of chronic illness
Heather is currently undergoing final evaluations at UW Health. The good news? She’s a strong candidate for transplant — she just needs to gain weight and build strength. She’ll be doing pulmonary rehab 3x/week through September in Grafton and hopes to be listed this fall.
We are so hopeful, but this journey is not easy. If you can give — big or small — it would mean the world. And if not, please consider sharing this fundraiser and sending Heather strength and love.
You can learn more about LAM at the Foundation (https://www.thelamfoundation.org/).
With love and gratitude,
Amy
