Heather Jones Ali-Breast Cancer Fund

When we started this GoFundMe for Heather, a newlywed at 37 years old and she had been so happy to be pregnant with her first child. But when she was 6 months pregnant, she received the devastating diagnoses of breast cancer.  At 7 months pregnant she traveled to Mumbai, India to receive the surgery to remove her tumor.  Heather had her surgery at the acclaimed Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital on January 12, 2021, just three weeks before her 1-year wedding anniversary. She and her unborn baby were in desperate need of funds and must rely on the goodness of people's hearts for help.

We are raising funds to help with the cost of Heather’s cancer treatment. Now, in 2022, unfortunately, her cancer has progressed to Metastatic Breast Cancer.  She was blessed to give birth to a beautiful, healthy little girl and has a very supportive husband.  But she is in desperate need of funds as her cancer is progressing and she needs treatment.  

Here is her original GoFundMe story - Heather Jones Ali left Houston, Texas and traveled to Fatehpur, India and married Naved Ali, the love of her life, on February 2, 2020.  In July 2020 they found out she was pregnant and was due March, 2021 – what a blessing!  Then in December 2020, right after celebrating her birthday and Christmas, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Both Heather and Baby Ali are high risk patients and the treatment decisions have been very difficult.  Heather will possibly need care in the ICU and if the baby is delivered premature, will spend time in the NICU.  Our hope is that precious Baby Ali not be taken early and be born closer to due date in 8 weeks, but they must consider both of their survival rate at that time.

Following surgery there will possibly be radiation and chemo, which is extremely risky and expensive.  Because of her pregnancy, Heather will not be able to have the normal scans to determine the extent of her cancer, making her situation very serious. 

Heather's treatment will take some time and is located 900 miles away from her home in India so needs to find housing. Her and Naved are receiving help from family in India but her family in Texas cannot be there because of travel restrictions. As soon as travel is possible, we hope to be at her side.
