Heather has dedicated her life to helping others - human and animal alike - working tirelessly as an EMT with Acadian Ambulance before joining the plasma field to continue saving lives.

Heather has spent the last 8 years responding to emergencies and showing up when it mattered most during times of crisis. Now, she needs our help.

At just 33 years old, Heather is facing an urgent heart surgery that could mean the difference between life and death. Heather has a heart defect that is allowing blood clots to travel within her heart and throughout her body, including her brain.

She has already had to heal from multiple pulmonary emboli, TIAs, and paradoxical emboli. Closing the defect with an implanted device is the best option to stop the clots and prevent any further damage.

The financial burden of medical care is overwhelming after spending so many weeks in and out of the hospital. Insurance only covers part of the cost, and time is running out.
