Heather Cousins post hospital fund

Heather is the very embodiment of stoicism. In the 15+ years she's lived in New York City, she has survived every hardship like it was another part of life. Whether it be loss, strain, sickness, hostility, or an unexpected turn of events, she's met every challenge with a shrug and that famous trilling laugh of hers.
We could all learn something new from Heather's cool, casual way of rolling with the punches. As if turmoil is an almost daily rite of passage that tests her very gumption to survive the week.
2018 has been a rough year for a lot of people. Heather has silently endured more than what most of us could take. Yet, in her stoicism, she had the strength to not only acknowledge her limits but to ask for help. So she reached out.
Heather has been in psychiatric care for the last three weeks. Soon she will be released to a rehabilitation center. In these last three weeks a few friends of Heather have rallied together to usher her in to said care, and afterwards have worked together to put her affairs in order by contacting family and putting her things in storage.
As any New Yorker knows, savings are rare. So we are reaching out to those who know Heather and ask if they could make a donation.
The goal is to raise enough money so that she can have a running start when she comes home in April.
We've mostly known Heather from the punk scene. A space that invites those who've fallen on the outskirts of society. The odds suggest that those who stray from the norm are less likely to survive. Most of us fought tooth and nail for the sliver we've secured for ourselves. But few rarely bloom without the support of their community whether it be emotional, physical, or monetary.
We have a month.
Anything helps.
All will be appreciated.
