Heather Bosman’s Courageous Fight with Melanoma

My sweet sister in law, Heather, was diagnosed with metastatic (stage 4) melanoma in August of 2019. She lives in Brandon, SD with her husband Dan, and sons Carson (10) and Hayden (7). She is just 37 years old and in the fight for her life. Her cancer has spread to her brain, liver, spleen, bone etc. She has had PET scans and MRIs, radiation to her brain and has been on oral chemo medication.

In January 2020, she was having more pain and
nausea and found out her oral chemo pills
were not working anymore and she started immunotherapy. Her recent PET scan showed that her tumors are growing and spreading. Her Dr has told her that they should know in the next 3-5 weeks if the immunotherapy is working or not.

She also was just hospitalized over the weekend to help control her pain and nausea. She has since been discharged and the Dr.’s have decided to also do radiation to her liver for the next 10 days to target a large tumor that is probably one of the sources that is giving her a lot pain and causing her to be nauseous.

I have started this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of the financial burdens/medical bills that come with her medical diagnosis, tests and treatments, to help meet their needs at home and to give them some breathing room if Dan would need to take more time off work to care for Heather.
