Anderson & Heather Need Help!!
Donation protected
As some of you may have heard, Anderson was intentionally struck by a vehicle while scooting near 19th and Penn on the night of Friday, June 4th. This was a hit and run from a suspected stolen car. The driver sped up in order to strike both Anderson and their friend, while Heather watched it all happen. The two persons struck flew 20ft in opposite directions. Their other friend, while battered and bruised, thankfully did not break any bones.
Anderson, on the other hand, broke their leg and spent a number of nights in Denver Health. The road to recovery is going to be a long one... and as we all know, healthcare in the US isn't all that great, especially when it comes to medical bills.
From Anderson:
"I got hit by a car on June 4, 2021. I can’t walk with crutches because my ribs are bruised and I had some internal bleeding on my right side. My left leg was fractured in 3 places below my knee. I’m using a walker to go from bed to toilet. There are welts and bruises on my hips and back, shoulders, and my head hurts but I don’t have a concussion. There are 27 staples on my left leg where the plate and 9 screws are holding my bones together. I have a few months of physical therapy ahead of me to learn to walk again. Right now my leg is non weight bearing. So I can't touch the ground."
Heather and Anderson could really use some help with all of the medical bills - those on the way and the ones yet to come.
