I am not one that asks for help very often and I basically just use social media to stay it touch with family and friends and to brag about my kids. Today, however, I come asking for help for my sister Heather and her family who lost everything in a house fire. They have two young children and are trying as best they can to help them through this trauma as well as figure out their next steps. Everything is a blur right now but what I do know is they lost EVERYTHING. They barely escaped with their lives and only had the clothes they were wearing. They didn’t even have time to put shoes on it happened that fast. We thank God they are safe, but now they are without a home in the middle of winter. As a protective big sister, it is excruciating to not be able to pick up the pieces and fix this. The devastation is beyond words. So I come asking for help in raising money to replace some essentials while they work through insurance and find a place to live.
