Stand by the Gunsons

On June 30th, 2018 there was flash flooding in and around Des Moines, Iowa. Unfortunately, Heather, Nate, Trice, and Kinley’s home got hit very hard. Their basement was filled from floor to ceiling with ten feet of water!


Extensive damage occurred to the structure of their home and yard; their fence, floor, lower staircase, basement window, all drywall, and ceiling will need to be replaced. Their appliances including washer, dryer, water heater, and air conditioning unit were all submerged and new ones will need to be purchased.


Additionally, everything from furniture, clothes, toys, valuable items, mementos and family heirlooms were completely destroyed. Heather, Nate and their two kids aren't able to even stay in their home due to the damage, as they do not have a water heater or air conditioner. As we know, insurance can be tricky and in this case they aren't covering anything. This damage will be very costly. This wonderful family of four is devastated, and in a rough spot and are not sure where to go next. That's why, as their very close friends, we thought to start a go fund me.
