Heather Alvarez Carr Fire Victim

Donation protected
Heather Alvarez is a longtime and cherished employee of Damburger in downtown Redding. She lost her home in the Carr fire, and only made it out with two changes of clothes, her cats and her laptop. She didn't have insurance and is starting over from scratch.

Heather is known by her friends and family as a kind soul. She takes the time to listen and gets to know everyone around her. She is the first to notice a new outfit, a fresh haircut, or an unspoken emotion. She often will bring a little gift to work if one of her coworkers is having a hard time. At the annual holiday party, despite having very little herself, Heather takes the time to make everyone homemade gifts just because she loves giving.

Many of the customers at Damburger look forward to seeing Heather's happy face when they walk in the door. She has become like family to so many people.  As her employers we couldn't imagine Damburger without Heather. Her beautiful laugh has brightened many a day for us, and we are so grateful that she is around.

Heather is not the kind of person who will ask for help, but her Damburger family loves her too much to see her struggle. Please help Heather make a fresh start. She would like to get a trailer for herself and her cats--all of which are rescue animals.  No amount is too small.
