Centenary UMC Heater in the Cold

We are a small congregation struggling like most. We are a living part of our community serving free lunches to our community and reaching out to our neighboring communities with our Community Kitchen. Our Thrift Shop offers our community low-cost clothes and housewares to those in the community who need them. Since the pandemic began, we have had to close the Community Kitchen temporarily. As we prepared to reopen in December, we faced a big hurdle. The heater in the building broke down. We held the heater together with prayers and duct tape for the last couple of years, but it is now unrepairable. The estimated cost to replace the heater is $40,000.
