We've heard the tales of how our holy great-grandmothers cut holes in the ice in order to perform the mitzvah of mikveh.  Recently, many women of our community have braved the fridgid waters of .... Irvine!! OK, maybe they didn't have to saw a hole in the ice, but they did have to brave the unheated waters of the Irvine Community Mikveh, due to a heater failure.  

After almost a month of trying to resolve heater issues, it has finally come to this:  we need a new heater.  Current estimates are down from $8,000 to $5,000, and $3600 has already been pledged, so anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated!
