♡ Hearts for Evelyn ♡

Hello,

My name is Destiny and I am friends with Ross (Dad) and Kelly (Mom). Their beautiful daughter, Evelyn, was recently diagnosed with severe heart failure and is not able to safely go home. The timeline of her needing to stay in the hospital is unknown. I am creating this gofundme in hopes to help alleviate any stress from medical bills, monthly home bills, gas - to travel to and from the hospital and food as they navigate their new norm for a while.

Below is an update from Kelly (Mom to Evelyn)

"Our sweet 5-year-old daughter, Evelyn, is currently battling severe heart failure. What started as a sudden decline in her heart function has led to countless hospital stays, procedures, and now the possibility of a heart transplant.

After her most recent heart catheterization, we learned her heart pressures are three times higher than they should be. Despite every treatment tried, her heart is showing signs of irreversible damage. Doctors have shared that she may soon need a Berlin Heart — a mechanical device to help her heart pump while she waits for a transplant.

Evelyn cannot safely go home with her current heart function. She remains hospitalized while her team works to find the best path forward.

As parents, we’re doing everything we can to stay strong for her. I (Kelly, her mom) am a federal worker currently on FMLA to be by Evelyn’s side full-time. Unfortunately, with the current government shutdown, I am not receiving pay, and I only have about two weeks of paid leave left. Ross (her dad) continues to work full-time while balancing hospital visits and major medical decisions.

This journey has been unimaginable — emotionally, physically, and financially. We’re asking for help to ease the financial burden of this fight: covering hospital-related expenses, time away from work, travel, meals, and care for our family while we remain focused on Evelyn’s recovery.

Evelyn is a bright, funny, brave little girl with the biggest heart — one that truly deserves a second chance.
