When I encountered this thin little tortie lady, whom I named Brooklyn, on a very cold night in a suburban street, I'll never forget how she looked back at me with her sorrowful, pleading eyes. She was tired, deflated, and she was well known in the street by residents who had fed her for years.. but no one cared enough to make a difference to her life and rescue this fatigued and exhausted girl
I went searching for her and picked her little body up, and took her to the vet. Sadly this beautiful little lady had been diagnosed with Anaemia, Pancreatitis and Kidney disease. Poor Brooklyn needed to be hospitalised for 5 weeks on IV fluids, she also had a blood transfusion, several blood tests and has been on different medications, all costing an unexpected fortune
Despite her medical diagnoses, Brooklyn has been a bright, strong and brave girl. She has been discharged, and is finally living her dream life in a beautiful, loving home of her own with an amazing lady who is doting on her. Delightful little Brooklyn is thoroughly lapping up daily snuggles and body rubs from both her carer and I, and loads of specialised food. This heartwarming girl will need to be on a prescription Renal diet and Hydracare supplements, for the remainder of her life - as well has subcut fluids every second day and daily medications, always. This is something I have never encountered before, and will be expensive ongoing
Seeing this beautiful brave girl enjoying her new life, and so comfortable in her home makes it all worth while However I'm in urgent need of your help.
