Heartfelt help for my grandpa’s healing journey

Hi, my name is Craig Edwick and I’m reaching out on behalf of my 89-year-old grandfather, Jim. A strong and kind man who has been recently dealing with major health challenges. On top of all the medical stuff, unfortunately, my grandfather was recently scammed and lost all of his life savings. He now struggles daily financially to make ends meet. He is unable to afford a housekeeper or in-home care and will soon be discharged from the hospital.

My Grandpa just underwent a serious heart procedure; his pacemaker had to be replaced, and doctors added a third lead to help his heart beat more efficiently. While we’re incredibly grateful he made it through surgery, his journey to recovery is just beginning.

Due to his age and fragile condition, my grandpa now requires physical therapy to regain strength and mobility. He’s also diabetic and must follow a diet that’s both diabetic and cardiac-friendly. These changes have made day-to-day living difficult, especially as he lives alone and is no longer able to safely cook or keep up with household chores on his own.

We’re hoping to raise funds to provide Grandpa with the help he truly needs:

• In-home physical therapy to support his recovery

• Meal assistance tailored to his diabetic and heart health needs

• A part-time housekeeper to help maintain a safe and clean home environment

Our goal is to allow my Grandpa to recover with dignity, comfort, and the quality of life he deserves. Any contribution, no matter how small, would make a meaningful difference.
