Heartfelt Help for Depre and Leah

Hi, my name is Amber and I'm starting a GoFundMe for my sister in law Leah and her boyfriend Depre.

**UPDATE 1.24.25**

Depre is still in ICU. He is non responsive as in not following direct commands such as squeeze my hand or wiggle your toes consistently, however, he will open his eyes and shake is head yes or no once in awhile. He has said a few words (yes, no, alright, okay and sleep). He's not speaking often, but we believe it will improve each day.

He underwent another small surgery yesterday (1.23.25) to get a feeding tube placed. The staff brought in a lift to move him out of bed and into the chair. The right side of his body is still completely immobile. He continues to experience a lot of pain but he is not on any pain medication so that they can better monitor his neuro status. PT/OT have started working with him, getting up out of bed and standing with max assistance.

This has been a very long journey for both Leah and Depre. All your support is appreciated greatly!

Depre suffered from a thoracic aortic dissection that started in his heart and went through his stomach into his leg. He was life flighted to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he went into a life saving 7 hour open heart surgery. The surgeons were able to repair the tear in his heart, but had to stop further repair to the other tears due to him being on Bypass for too long. Since this surgery he has suffered a heart attack, went into kidney failure and has had multiple strokes. He still needs another surgery to repair the other tears, but the Dr's want him to be more stable prior.

Depre has been and continues to fight. He is not giving up and we aren't either. He has the best Dr's, surgeons and nurses taking care of him. He has so many friends and family praying over him and God can do big things!

As you know, with any type of medical care comes with big medical bills. Leah has not left his side and this is going to be a very long journey for the both of them. I'm starting this Go Fund Me in hopes that we can alleviate some expenses for the both of them. Please take the time to give if you can.
