On the very first day of 2026 when families everywhere were welcoming a new year with hope our family in Vanuatu woke to an unimaginable tragedy.

A devastating fire engulfed their home, trapping beautiful Kayla (1 year 6 months and Phillip (2 months old) inside. Their father, Eddy, showed incredible bravery, doing everything he could to save his children. In the process, he suffered critical injuries and tragically passed away shortly after.

In a single moment, this family lost three precious lives a father and his two babies. There are no words that can truly express the heartbreak, shock, and grief left behind. Our family has now had to lay three of their loved ones to rest, and the pain is beyond comprehension.

As they try to survive the coming months, they are facing overwhelming emotional and financial pressure. We are reaching out to ask for support to help ease some of this burden whether it be for immediate living needs, funeral expenses, or simply giving them space to grieve without the weight of financial stress.
