ongoing medical expenses for heart transplant
i was thrown into the fire. i never thought in a million years, i'd be fighting not one, but two major health issues. i was told the other day due to new regulations, my insurance no longer covers certain medical procedures as well as past a certain amount of visits per specialist. in Feburary of 2017 i was diagnosed with heart failure, cardiomyopathy, and now am in constant supraventricular tachycardia, which is more dangerous with the cardiomyopathy. just when i think my problems have been surfaced, two weeks ago i was diagnosed with early stages of multiple sclerosis. now i am forced to see a cardiologist atleast 5 times a month, as well as a Neurologist that specializes in M.S. atleast twice a month. I am in the process of getting on the Heart Transplant list. takes a long time. but my Insurance will only cover a portion of that as well. i am asking for money for the monthly care, which is needed immediately, as well as money towards the eventual transplant that i will need. i support a family of four, including a son with some health issues of his own. i am in vital need because i need this care to stay alive and maintain my family. i need the visits for new testing, and to keep tabs on my heart. i already spend atleast 7 times a month in the emergency room, let alone staying in the hospital because of this. its scary for me, even worse for my son. being a single mom, i already struggle to keep afloat, and bills are too much now due to out of pocket costs. i have reached out to different foundations, and seems there is so much red tape. i do not want to stop fighting. i need to live and i need this care for my child and family.
