Cody and Ashley have the sweetest love story. They were married on April 27th, 2019 and later that year they were blessed to find out they were expecting their first child, a baby boy! Our entire family was over-the-moon excited for these two, as we all know what amazing parents they are going to be and how much love we all have to give our sweet baby, Watson!

In March of 2020, during Ashley's routine 19 week prenatal visit, Watson was diagnosed with a serious congenital heart defect. After visiting several of the nation's best hospitals for pediatric cardiology, Watson's official diagnosis is double inlet left ventricle, transposition of the great vessels and pulmonary stenosis. This diagnosis will require a series of three serious open-heart surgeries, his first one within a week of being born, his second at 4-6 months old and his third at 2-5 years old. We are hopeful there might be a solution for his first surgery that will avoid a full open-heart surgery, but we may not know if that is an option until he is born. 

While this diagnosis was absolutely not what anyone was prepared for, we've all been blown away by the incredible response, in-depth research and complete preparation that Cody and Ashley have done to ensure the best possible care and treatment for Watson. There could not be two better parents in the world, or a more loving family for our sweet boy and we are all so ready to meet him in August and help Cody and Ashley in any way we can. 

With Watson's treatment will come some burdensome medical bills and travel expenses for Cody and Ashley during his extended hospital stays, so we've created this GoFundMe page to allow any of our friends and family to help with some of these costs.
