Lucas and his family are desperately in need of support. Lucas has faced so many challenges in his 4 years after being born with Congenital Heart Defects. He has had countless procedures and multiple open heart surgeries, including the Fontan procedure.

Lucas was life flighted from Bangor, Maine to the Boston Children’s Hospital on December 29th and diagnosed with Plastic Bronchitis (a Lymphatic flow disorder that has caused tremendous damage to his lungs). He is currently on ECMO and after miraculously making it through an all day lymphatic intervention procedure where glue was placed in suspected lymphatic “leaking” zones, he has many more battles to face. Our prayers are currently focused on the removal of the lymphatic build up currently in his lungs. We need those lungs to start working and get him off the ECMO asap.

This little boy has been through so much and ALWAYS with an infectious smile and positive attitude. A lot of financial resources available to his parents are a one time only thing & with multiple long term stays in the hospital over the last 4 years many of those resources have been exhausted. His parents have been taking turns spending the week with Lucas in Boston while the other comes home to Maine to work and care for Lucas’s big brother, Gage. They have now reached the one month mark of Lucas being hospitalized and given his current status, they could be facing a much longer stay. Anything that you can do will be used to pay for their rent, utilities, travel expenses to and from the hospital and give them the peace of mind that no matter how long this takes they are supported by a community of people that have prayed so hard for this sweet boy.
