Imagine your little one before the age of 5, having three open heart surgeries. The third being the final surgery, yet for it to come with complications, further surgeries and to understand your little one has had a stroke. To them being intubated, sedated, unable to move one side of their body. To being unable to hug them, kiss them and tell them that you’re there for them. All whilst awaiting your next child. Imagine giving birth to your next child knowing your first will possibly be in a hospital bed trying to recover and the uncertainty of what that recovery will be like. An unrealistic reality for some, but unfortunately the reality for our best friends and their son/my godson, Alfie Ganley.

We are asking for anyone and everyone who comes across this to help raise this family some money. This money will not only allow them to prepare for the financial uncertainty of what is to come and essential time off work to be with Alfie and baby but it will also support Alfies rehabilitative needs once he is back home. It will also reduce at least some of the mental and emotional torture this beautiful family are going through.

Myself and my beautiful fiancée, Nadene, will be running/walking 50 miles a week for 100 days. A monumental task for us and our current ability, but worth every second to help the Ganley’s.
