Heart transplant needed at age 36.

Hello my name is Maria Sierra and my daughter, Dani, has been in ICU for over a month with critical heart failure.

The hospital has given us so much support and information, even mentioning Gofundme of which we have contributed to for others over the years, but never would have thought to be on the other side of this wonderful fundraising.

Here is just a little bit of I formation I wrote about her:

Dani Sierra

We would like to request prayers for our daughter Dani who is 36 years old, a Nurse and single mother of two beautiful girls Mariella (Ella) age 12 and Isadora (Izzy) age 9.

Dani has been in the ICU since September 23, 2023 with severe heart issues. Her heart is very sick. She had to be transported on October 13th to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center to be treated by the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Team.

At this time she will need additional surgeries and they are taking the steps required and put her on the transplant list. Although it looks like other procedures/therapies are being attempted first to prolong things and give heart time to recover such as an LVAD placement.

Not knowing how long she will be in ICU and out of work, we know the bills will not stop and be outrageous. This will assist with medical bills, needs for her two daughters, utilities and general expenses including extended time away from work.

We would appreciate prayers and if you feel in your hearts ❤️ to support in the most minimal amount we would greatly appreciate it.

Small update:

Day 64 and still in the hospital and so much has happened (too much to detail). 

 She has had so many setbacks but thank God she is young, strong and determined to going home to her two daughters!  

I know she will have many challenges ahead but no doubt she will conquer all.
