Heart Transplant Mark Montgomery

My name is Mark Montgomery. In 2007 I had a heart attack at age 42 which led to quintuple bypass. Over the past 15 years I've had an additional 4 strokes, 6 heart attacks, 33 heart catherizations, and 23 stents.

I am currently in Wake Forest Baptist Hospital ICU waiting for a transplant. I have been in the hospital for the past 2 weeks and anticipate the transplant at any time. Over the past two years of accumulated over $20,000 in medical bills which I have been able to take care of some of it myself. At the present moment I have about $12,000 in medical expenses and I anticipate that to rise when the transplant takes place.

I have been disabled since 2014 I live on social security disability which is less than most people's mortgage payment. Somehow God has provided the whole way.

Not only do we have medical expenses so we incur expenses every day for my wife traveling back and forth to ICU and her meal expenses while here.

I'm not one to ask people for money but it has come to that point where we're no longer able to do this alone.

If you're not able to contribute I understand and I would still appreciate all your prayers and thoughts this week near the end of this process and move on to the life that God is called for.
