Heart Transplant for Jerry Fitzpatrick

Hello, we're the Fitz kids, Madison and Aiden. Our dad, Jerry, recently had a Heart Transplant at UCSD Medical Center in Southern CA. He was referred there by Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ.

He had his first heart attack 14 years ago when our mom was pregnant with Aiden. Since then, he has had 2 more heart attacks, a stroke, kidney failure (from the Entresto heart medication) and so many hospital visits. 8 years ago, his cardiologist gave him a year and a half to live. Our dad is strong and a fighter. All he wanted was to live long enough to see us graduate high school and get married and now he'll get that chance. My brother and I are teenagers and have watched our dad suffer for years from the heart failure and had been bedridden for the last year. Now, he is up and slowly getting back to a normal life but the medical bills are piling up and our mom has taken off of her job to stay up in California to take care of our dad. He has to stay up there for months for all of the follow up visits. 3-5 a week. We are hoping to raise money to help pay the medical bills and travel expenses our mom has from having to go back and forth from Arizona. We appreciate any amount that you are able to contribute.
