Hello, friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

Many have asked how they could help us with regards to Lawrence’s upcoming Heart Transplant surgery. This fundraiser is started with that in mind. There’s a feeling of vulnerability, but also with hope. 

For those who know my husband, Lawrence Little, you know the passion for God Jehovah, spending time with family, spending time with both local and other congregation members, daily Bible reading and study sessions with those who desire to know what the Bible really teaches and sewing.

My husband (Lawrence J.Little) has always cherished God first, family, friends and his life, but lately, a difficult medical journey has cast a shadow.

Health has become a daily battle due to Congested Heart Failure, Coronary heart disease and Diabetes. It has progressed to the point where a heart transplant is the only option for a future. While we will always trust in Jehovah, I admit we’re only human and therefore this news brings both fear and hope—the hope of a second chance at life, a chance to get back to the people and things loved.

A heart transplant is a modern medical miracle, but comes with a large financial burden. While insurance will cover part of the costs, it won't cover everything. Significant expenses include:

Pre- and post-transplant medical costs: This covers hospital stays, testing, and follow-up appointments.

Anti-rejection medication: Lifelong medication is required to ensure the body accepts the new heart. These drugs are expensive.

Travel and lodging: Because the transplant center is located in Tampa Florida, assistance is needed for transportation expenses and temporary housing for the family during the procedure and recovery.

This isn't just about covering bills; it's about covering the cost of a future. A future where he can once again serve our God Jehovah to the best of his ability, something I hope we can do together for many years to come.
