Hi everyone, my name is Danielle. My little sister Paula and I decided to set up this GoFundMe account to help out our dad, Joseph Paul Lopez, with his heart transplant.
Our dad has been dealing with a lot of heart problems for several years, and now his heart is barely functioning properly. At the moment he is stable in ICU at a hospital in Houston.
In the last few weeks my dad has had several procedures done and will have to remain in the ICU until they find a donor who is compatible with our dad for the transplant. The wait could approximately take anywhere from a few months to a year.
This is going to have a huge impact on him and our family, and we want to be prepared for anything/everything that we possibly can. My little sister and I will be his primary caregivers post transplant and will temporary have to relocate to Houston.
