Heart to Heart for the Sheldons

Donation protected

Kevin’s journey to transplant began in October of 2014 when he experienced a short incident of Afib. In June of 2016 he was treated with a pacemaker (ICD). By July of 2017 he was experiencing several episode of vtach and by October he had undergone 3 ablation procedures.

His Sanford physician referred him to a colleague at the University of Minnesota. His underlying condition was diagnosed as Cardiac Sarcoidosis and he began steroid treatment.  In May 2018, Kevin was admitted to University of Minnesota hospital to wait for a new heart.
After 40 days of waiting for a heart on June 19, which included transitioning to Baylor Hospital in Texas, Kevin received a new heart!

More details and updates on the Facebook group for Kevin's journey from Lori Sheldon.
The journey is not over yet, as there will be ongoing rehab and care.

Many have expressed their desire to help and asked what they can do, and the Sheldon's have been so appreciative and humbled.  Thank you for your support!

While insurance will support much of the hospital costs, there have been many additional travel/lodging costs as well as much time away from work for the whole family.

We are family friend's of the Sheldon's looking to provide an avenue for those who want to help!  100% go to Sheldon family.

If you are able and interested, please consider donating to these costs.  Any little bit helps!  Love and prayers are also a great gift :)

thank you!
