Heart Surgery, Then Fire — Paweł Lost Everything… But His Dog Is Safe
When life just won’t let up.
My dear friend Paweł Walkiewicz recently underwent heart surgery and is still recovering — slowly regaining his strength, hoping things would finally get easier.
But on Sunday, 30 August 2026, a devastating fire in Aylesbury town centre completely destroyed his rented home. Paweł wasn’t there — he is safe. And miraculously, his beloved dog was rescued too — unharmed, and still by his side .
Yet everything else they had is gone. Clothes, furniture, belongings, everyday things — everything that made their house a home. Paweł has no contents insurance.
Right now, Paweł and his dog are staying with kind friends — they have a roof over their heads, but almost nothing else. Nothing that’s theirs. Nothing left to build on.
Instead of resting and healing — he now has to start all over again. From nothing.
We’re raising funds to help Paweł with emergency accommodation, food, clothes, essentials for him and his dog — everything they need to stand on their feet again.
