Hi my name is Ian.
Thank You So Much For Taking The Time To Read This.
In 2006 I was diagnosed with a rare Heart Disease called Kawasaki. It caused me to have a massive blood clot that caused damage to my Coronary Artery.
Just last year on February 11th, 2020, I had a Mechanical Aorta placed in my heart in hopes of preventing further clotting and was given a long road to recovery.
Unfortunately, on Saturday March 13th, I felt pain in my arm while playing with my 2year old daughter,. I didn’t think much of it then, but as the pain continued to intensify over the following days, I decided to go in to the emergency room. While there Monday morning, it was brought to my attention that there was a very large blood clot in the artery in my arm that needed to be removed right away.
After going through with the emergency surgery, my physicians and I decided it would be in our best judgement to do transport me to UW Hospital and do an ultrasound on my heart to see if there was any more clotting. And unfortunately so, we found three additional blood clots attached to my Mechanical Aorta.
So at this time, I'm currently awaiting yet another surgery to have my Mechanical Aorta taken out and replaced with a new one of a different type. This will be my third heart surgery in just one year
I’m doing this for my daughter. I love her with all my heart and want to be here to help raise her and watch her grow into a woman.
This surgery is totally unexpected and I’m in need of help to cover my family's household expenses while I'm in recovery for the months to come. Any help is greatly appreciated.
