Dear Family & Friends,

My name is Dave Serafica, cousin to Joseph. He is also Ninong to my son Shane, and it truly pains me to write this. I am coordinating fundraising efforts on behalf of his wife, Lourdes, to raise funds for a complicated medical procedure that goes beyond what most insurance covers. We need your help.

As most of you may know by now, Joey (also Jo, Joseph) Rimorin suffered a devastating heart valve failure last week that will forever change his life. Diagnosed initially with severe pneumonia, he was immediately admitted to ICU and intubated for most of his stay. While hospitalized for the past two weeks, Lourdes has been navigating the very difficult and emotionally challenging role of coordinating care and filing for insurance coverage. She remains strong as we've always known her but must now prepare for a long road to help Joseph on the path to recovery. The past weeks have been hectic, and we are now at a point where it's critical for those who know and love Joseph to act quickly.

We must be there to help.

We need your support...financially, spiritually, and anything that will help ease a tough time for Lourdes, Joseph, and all that are supporting them. I know Lourdes is overwhelmed with gratitude for those who have prayed and provided close emotional support. Please continue to do so more than ever.
