Heart Surgery for Peter: Time is Running Out

Friends, for those of you who know me this request is very much out of my comfort zone.

My best friend Peter is in need of heart surgery as a result of his cardio myopathy. Peter has fluid around his heart and is dependent on oxygen but ultimately requires life saving surgery. Peter is currently a cardiac surgeon with the UN on location in Cyprus. Unfortunately, he has no medical insurance The UN has chosen not to get involved and the hospital requires payment prior to the surgery being performed which is very different than in the US.

Peter has no family or siblings....I am his only family. My commitment to him is to help in any way I can.

My goal is to help him get through this surgery and return him to Belgium where he can continue with his passion of helping others experiencing cardiac conditions.

This life saving surgery needs to happen by the end of December. We are currently down to days. Any support you can assist with during this holiday season to save Peters life is greatly appreciated. I will update his condition daily so your looped in.
