Heart Surgery for Clara

Hello, my name is Michael Karl. This fundraising campaign is for heart surgery for CLARA MERLIA RIVERA ROSADO. Clara has been diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), rendering it necessary to receive complex heart surgery. She is the daughter of my employee Ubaldo Rivera Lagunes. We are trying to raise $5,000. However, the true cost of all the operations she needs in addition to medicines and doctor’s visits is unknown.

Unfortunately, this is not the only medical issue with Clara. She was born with multiple medical issues. The 2 letters below are more technical and provide specific information. If you know of any additional help we can provide to Clara, please let me know.

I , Alejandro Shamyr Landa Osorio, hereby acknowledge that RIVERA ROSADO CLARA MERLIA, 1 yrs old, is a patient of the UMR (Rural Medical Unit)

The patient suffers from congenital physical disability, as a consequence of suffering from newborns dysmorphic syndrome, with multiple malformations as cleft palate, micrognathia, right hand clinodactyly, osteoarthritis in both elbows, MICROMELIA OF LEFT PELVIC limb and SYNCDATYLIA in the left foot. The patient is below the average weight for her age and she suffers from psychomotor retardation.

The patient came to our Rural Medical Unit to request a medical evaluation. We cannot afford the right material/machines to perform specialized diagnosis. No metabolic diseases nor allergies have been reported.

Female patient , 2 year and 7 months old with cleft palate. During the pediatric test, a heart murmur is listened. Waiting for genetic evaluation.

Physical Examination

No cyanosis, hyperdynamic precordium normal breathing, normal heart rate, no hepatomegaly, normal pulse in all four limbs, rhythmic heart sounds with continuous heart murmur grade III/VI in lung area, horizontally irradiated

Transthoracic Echocardiogram2D/CW/PW/CF/M

· Situs solitus

· Levocardia

· Normal Systemic and pulmonary venous returns

· Criss cross vessels with concordant AV(Atriventricular) and VA (ventriculoarterial)

· Normal atrial morphology, without structural changes

· Without atrial septal defect

· Tricuspid regurgitation of 20MMHG translating pressure of 23 MMGHH with normal lungs pressure

· Ventricules with good contractility and Left Ventricular Ejection Factor of 34%

· Without Ventricular septal defect

· TRIVALVE aortic valve without obstruction

· Pulmonary without obstructions with confluent branches

· Patent ductus arteriosus

· Left aortic arch
