Heart Surgery for Addy
Donation protected
My name is Cheyenne and I’m raising money for my niece Adalina. She was born with multiple complex congenital heart defects. The main defect criss cross heart is incredibly rare and caused several other defects to form which includes dextrocardia, pulmonary stenosis, transposition of the great arteries, large VSD and ASD, and a straddling tricuspid valve. To make issues worse, she also has a clotting disorder which is not ideal for someone with so many complex cardiac defects. With such a complex case, options are limited to help her at this point but after seeking a second opinion from Boston Children’s, which is the leader in treating cases like hers, Dr. Emani has agreed that a Biventricular repair is best for her and they are capable of doing it. This will be her 5th open heart surgery and an incredibly complex and risky surgery but if successful, Addy will have a much better quality of life with normal oxygen levels, no more daily shots, less risk of developing blood clots and more than likely no more open heart surgeries until she is much older. I’m raising money to help with her family’s costs of traveling to Boston, living costs while in Boston, lost wages due to the stay in Boston, and anything needed to help with their other 2 children at home during this time. Anything would help Adalina’s parents during this stressful time. Prayers and good Vibes needed as well. I’m grateful for everyone’s help in this time.
