Heart Surgery For Boris The Brave

Boris needs emergency heart surgery to save his life . Boris Is a beautiful 18 month old Bernese mountain dog who lives at home with his mum Allison, Dad Rick and human brother Andrew. For a month Boris had been sick, but the vets couldn't seem to figure out why . After many vet visits and tests, he was rushed to the vet after he collapsed and started coughing up blood.
As you can imagine, his mum was very scared and then the vet told her Boris was very sick and had fluid in the space around his heart. They needed to drain it straight away in order to safe his life. The situation was critical and the vets weren't sure Boris would survive the night ! Lucky Boris is a brave boy and after two days in critical care and having his heart sac drained three times ! Boris was stable enough to spend the night at home.
The next day, Boris had a scan with the specialist vets to see what the cause of his heart problems were . Much to everyone's surprise the vet found a 10cm long kebab stick stuck inside Boris's heart ! Boris now needs emergency surgery to remove the stick from his heart and save his life. The vet thinks the stick traveled there from his stomach through one of his lungs which is also collapsed. Boris had stole a kebab a month ago and this bit must have broken through then ( He had a scan at the time and no sticks were in the stomach).
Boris's vet bills have already reached several thousands of dollars . Now he has to undergo specialist heart surgery, many weeks of recovery and vet visits in order to make it through. We need help to be able to afford Boris's surgery and save his life.
