WHY DONATE?
Climbing is an amazing sport and outlet for anyone to partake in. Not only does the sport challenge an individual physically, but also mentally (i.e. mind, body, and spirit). At Heart Rock Climbing, I seek to continue to work with individuals of all backgrounds, including those with special needs, in addition to mental and physical disabilities. I have trained students of all ages and varying levels for over 7 years, for I know the power this sport can do for an individuals overall wellbeing.
My goal is to facilitate an encouraging, supportive, positive, safe, and private atmosphere for children, growing adolescents, and adult cliental. I aim to provide enrichment programs and camps for children of all ages.
WHO AM I?
My name's Yusuf. With over a decade of climbing experience in coaching and management under my belt, I am taking the next step in opening up a training facility catered in providing a personal, healing, educational, instructive, and individualized experience, in addition to helping climbers work on their techniques in a more private setting. At Heart Rock Climbing, all clients will be met with the utmost care and quality service to new and or avid climbers.
I am passionate about teaching kids how to climb and help children get over their fears and anxiety, as my goal is to build a climbing community geared towards children and under represented youth, in order to help build up a child's confidence and character. Rather than creating a competitive and cutthroat environment for its students, Heart Rock Climbing is about instilling a positive and uplifting message and outlet for its clients of all ages and climbing ability.
WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO?
The purpose of raising additional working capital is to cover start up costs and equipment, such as climbing shoes, holds, custom flooring, while also setting aside funds for scholarships and subsidies to families in need.
RESULTS:
Last year, I started a youth competitive climbing team for they placed top 10 at the USA Climbing youth divisional championship. After building long standing relationships through my many years of coaching, I have had many people encourage me to take it to the next level and create my own creative space where I can personally facilitate every aspect of my clients experience.
My focus is to not create an open gym environment, but rather a by appointment one on one or group setting atmosphere. At Heart Rock Climbing, we make it easy for our clients to select a time that works best for them to climb, and in a private and reserved setting, as we can have a better grasp on crowds, in order to ensure our clients get the most out of their visits.
OUR CULTURE:
Our students will work together collaboratively, and build each other other up, while in turn further growing their confidence, empowerment, motivation as a collective unit, rather than personal gain. Heart Rock Climbing is ready to offer programs for Homeschoolers in order for them to fulfill their physical education, while also providing a social outlet for them to meet other children.
Whether you are an athlete in training, or looking for a fun and inspiring outlet, rock climbing is an effective sport that compliments ones overall growth and development, and further enhances ones own physical agility. It is my dream and eagerness to continue this initiative in helping others, and become a bright beacon in our community for individuals to grow both personally, physically, and spiritually.
