Heart of a Warrior- Wyatt!!!

Donation protected
Most people that know Wyatt, know that he is always very active! He is full of energy and has huge goals of being in the military. He started having seizures not too long ago. After many tests and doctor visits, he has been diagnosed with two congenital heart defects. One of the defects is a whole between the two upper valves of his heart and the other is a very rare defect called A.L.C.A.P.A an anomalous left coronary artery that is a congenital anomaly (defect). Anomalous left coronary artery (ALCA) occurs when the left coronary artery, which carries blood to the heart, is connected to the pulmonary artery instead of the aorta. It is a rare problem, comprising less than 1% of all congenital heart defects in children. This puts him at greater risk of sudden cardiac death especially during strenuous exercise or competitive sports. The left coronary artery is responsible for most of the heart's blood supply and has been coined "The Widow
Maker" due to its significantly increased risk of sudden cardiac death if it gets blocked.
Due to the increased risk and due to being symptomatic during exercise, he has been restricted to no amount of activity whatsoever. We have also been told that we are not able to travel due to the spotiness of cell phone service or the lack of ability to get help if it were needed. This leaves Wyatt stuck in the house for the unforeseeable future. More than likely he will be having heart surgery before Winter’s end. Wyatt has a great medical team and I know that they are working hard and doing whatever it takes to get him back to being his crazy active self. We are so thankful for Children’s Hospital in Denver, as well as his pediatrician in Durango!
Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm not one to ask people for money at all, but if you would like to help out in some way and you feel in your heart that you would like to do so. Any and all donations of any size are graciously appreciated. These funds will be used towards legos, games, and toys to help stay calm and chill, as well as to prepare him for surgery and recovery better, small puzzles and activities to keep him occupied during this time, and any other items needed to help him. Funds will also be used for
medical expenses, and travel expenses as well, when we find out when surgery will happen. Thank you for considering your donation. There is zero obligation. If you are unable to donate, we just ask for prayers, positive thoughts, good juju, positive energy, or whatever else you like to do, towards our way. Thank you for your continued support. Feel free to share and leave a message if you can. I will show them to Wyatt, he would
love to hear from you. Thank you for all of your love and support, it means the world to us!!!
