Heart Full of Flowers- Kitchen Full of Love Juanita Chepillo

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved mother/grandmother, Juanita Eusebia Chepillo. On May 8th, we lost the heart and soul of our family—a woman who embodied love, strength, and selflessness in everything she did.

Juanita was more than a grandmother—she was a mother figure, a caretaker, and a guiding light who helped raise her grandchildren with unwavering love and patience. Her home was always filled with warmth, the comforting scent of something baking in the oven, and her contagious laughter.

Born and raised in Vicuña, Chile, Juanita was a talented and passionate baker who ran her own bakery for many years. Her empanadas were unmatched, her homemade cakes brought people together, and her sweet tooth was known to all—she especially loved gummy bears and strawberry ice cream.

She also found joy in the quiet, simple moments—crocheting beautiful creations by hand, tending to her stunning flowers and plants, and surrounding herself with color and life. Her garden was her sanctuary, blooming with the same care and dedication she gave to her family and friends.

We are organizing this fundraiser to help cover funeral and memorial expenses as we prepare to celebrate her life on Friday, May 23rd in Coral Springs, FL. We want to honor her wishes with a celebration filled with bright colors - because that’s how she lived: with joy, light, and love.

Con gran pesar en nuestros corazones, compartimos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida madre/abuela, Juanita Eusebia Chepillo. El 8 de mayo, perdimos el corazón y alma de nuestra familia: una mujer que personificó el amor, la fortaleza y el desinterés en todo lo que hacía.

Juanita fue mucho más que una abuela: fue una figura materna, una cuidadora y una luz guía que ayudó a criar a sus nietos con un amor y una paciencia inquebrantables. Su hogar siempre estuvo lleno de calidez, del reconfortante aroma de algo horneándose y de su risa contagiosa.

Nacida y criada en Vicuña, Chile, Juanita fue una talentosa y apasionada por la cocina que dirigió su propia pastelería durante muchos años. Sus empanadas eran incomparables, sus pasteles caseros reunían a las personas, y todos sabían de su gusto por lo dulce—especialmente por los ositos de goma y el helado de frutilla.

También encontraba alegría en los momentos simples y tranquilos—tejiendo a crochet hermosas creaciones a mano, cuidando con esmero sus flores y plantas, y rodeándose de color y vida. Su jardín era su santuario, floreciendo con el mismo cuidado y dedicación que entregaba a su familia y amigos.

Estamos organizando esta colecta para ayudar a cubrir los gastos del funeral y la ceremonia conmemorativa mientras nos preparamos para celebrar su vida el viernes 23 de mayo en Coral Springs, FL. Queremos honrar sus deseos con una celebración llena de colores vivos —porque así vivió ella: con alegría, luz y amor.
