A decade ago, shortly after welcoming his son Silas into the world, our friend Noel Ballon began experiencing troubling symptoms: a sore throat, rash, persistent cough, and swollen lymph nodes. A visit to the emergency room led to a lymph node biopsy and a diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

Imagine holding your newborn son knowing you have the big C. Noel was terrified but he is a fighter and has collected an unbelievable number of friends in his life - friends who stood with him side by side to help him fight for his life. This was in 2014 and today, Noel is cancer free. However, Noel is still burdened by expenses from his stem cell therapy from 2015.

You see... when fighting for your life, your focus is on the immediate threat - the monster standing before you. For Noel, that monster was Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Now, 10 years cancer-free, his new monster is congestive heart failure.
