I am now back from the forest, and while so much of my experience is still landing for me, I cannot express the beauty of how my inner landscape is changing. After a life lived in disconnection from my body, I am coming back to a place of safety and a place of trust and I am beginning to feel again in ways forgotten to me since childhood. How profound this is to me is hard to convey with language.I am truly so grateful to The Great Spirit, the Yawanawa, the people who donated, and for any support I have received, in all ways. It is truly a blessing so huge I cannot find words to articulate. I am sharing this fundraiser again with the hopes of raising an additional £600 towards my journey, anything no matter how small would be of great help towards this. I am balancing supporting myself as I live alone and also finding a new job at this time so any support will truly be a blessing.

Hello, my name is Charlotte I am 22 and I have created this fundraiser for support with my journey to the rainforest, to the Yawanawá people, to study myself, the wisdom of the forest and their people through the practice of a Dieta which is a fundamental part of their spiritual practice. The Dieta I will experience will be a healing Dieta. This is for me a profound opportunity to heal and to come back into my body, into truly living and experiencing my life from a place of love not from a place of fear. For a long time my life has been dictated by a lot of darkness - it means everything to me to face this and to find love and strength in a place which has been inaccessible to me. To heal not only for myself but for my future children and for all the women who have come before me and who are to come, to face our grief we hold and to move forward with love and strength.

Beyond myself, I know that the rainforest, and the people's voice, is something which needs to be listened to advocated for, it is so important for us to maintain the indigenous wisdom so this is what I am going to do - listen. Through my time in the forest I hope to learn how to be a vessel for healing, and how to communicate this voice and this ancient and deeply important wisdom.

This journey means everything to me it is hard to communicate the importance with words, I am just so grateful for this opportunity to come back into the light.
