Hearing Aids for Tress Belesi
Donation protected
Tress is a hard of hearing, non-binary queer person born with progressive sensorineural hearing loss, and they need a new pair of hearing aids. Hearing aids help them engage fully, comfortably, and confidently in their life, relationships, and work.
After a year of living with only one functioning hearing aid, Tress is excited to share that their new pair will arrive at the end of April. Unfortunately, hearing aids are not covered by most insurance plans, including Tress’ and are prohibitively expensive to the average person.
Currently, Tress is an educator and researcher at a museum where they are dedicated to facilitating more equitable, accessible, and empowering learning environments for disabled youth. They are a history nerd who loves connecting with others through storytelling and cooking elaborate meals, while exploring about new ideas, materials, and processes.
$4,000 will cover the total cost of the new hearing aids, and cost of ear molds.
Any contribution is greatly appreciated! Thank you.
