Hearing Aids for Cancer-Fighter Kenzie

Help Give The Gift of Hearing to 3 Year Old Kenzie. She’s a cancer-crushing, strong, beautiful, miraculous 3 year-old. I met Kenzie’s Mommy Raymalyn while working at a Skilled Nursing Facility approximately 3 years ago. Raymalyn is a compassionate, skilled, dedicated nurse. Raymalyn is now providing nursing care to the last person she ever expected to become sick- her 3 year old baby girl.

Kenzie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hepatoblastoma in January of this year. Kenzie is literally a warrior princess who continues to make miraculous strides as she kicks cancer’s ass. (Please see her story below).

One side effect of Kenzie’s aggressive cancer treatments has been hearing loss. Let’s work together to raise money for her hearing aids! Kenzie will need hearing aids for both ears due to the side effects of chemo drug(cisplatin). 36% of kids who get cisplatin have hearing loss. The frequencies she seems troubling are the ones you make when saying the sound “ f”, “s”, “th”, “t”, “k” , “p”, “h”, “g”, “ch”, “sh” Kenzie’s parent’s benefits don’t cover the cost and it will be thousands of dollars out of pocket. Raymalyn was trying to raise money by making her delicious lumpia and selling it as a fundraiser, but it would be a blessing if kind hearted people would donate so her time and attention can be focused the only place it should- on Kenzie’s fight, her son child Kaeden, and husband Markus. All prayers and love sent Kenzie’s way are also very much appreciated. Kenzie is a miracle, a gift, and loved by God. Please help to provide her with the gift of excellent hearing; wherein the support, prayers, laughter, and love will be fully heard by this beautiful, spunky girl! Her strength, laughter, smile, and positivity throughout her fight is an inspiration.
Any help no matter how big or small is truly appreciated.

Kenzie’s Story-
This is Kenzie- The warrior princess. She loves playing dress up, cooking, puzzles and also love to sing and dance. She is a 3 yr old girl diagnosed with stage 4 hepatoblastoma(a rare liver cancer) that spread both to her lungs since January 28, 2020 after her 3rd birthday. She started ist cycle of chemotherapy treatment on February 1st. Her chemo treatment plan consist of 3 blocks of chemo (cisplatin and doxorubicin) followed by an evaluation for liver transplant. Praise the Lord. The Chemotherapy did its job quickly. Overall response with clinical trials was very excellent. Her 3 tumors on her lungs were completely gone and surgeons confidently 100% able to take it out the tumor and no liver transplant. Successful liver hepatectomy and cholecystectomy surgery last april 24. Following liver resection recovery, she will need to undergo 3 more cycles of chemotherapy(carboplatin and doxorubicin) to complete the therapy and also to prevent cancer cells spread after surgery. Kenzie is healing wonderfully from her surgery. She checks in every week to the clinic if she needs any blood products. She is one step closer. We are so grateful she has gotten this far. We still have a long journey ahead of us which we are determined to fight and succeed. Kenzie ended up has high frequency hearing loss and she will need hearing aids both ears. 36% of kids who get cisplatin(chemo drug) have hearing loss. We are so grateful that this is atleast the manageable side effect of the chemo. Most important we have our daughter so we are thankful, grateful and amazed. We hold her tighter and spoil her often. Thank you so much for all your help, love, prayers, support and good thoughts.
