Hearing aids for Aislinn

Hi, my name is Aislinn and I am 18 years old and I was born with osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease . Osteogenesis imperfecta, or OI for short, not only has an effect on every bone in my body making them weaker but also my joints, height (I'm 4'5) , teeth, and hearing. My family and I have known I had hearing loss starting since I was in elementary school but never knew how bad. The hearing loss had begun to irritate me in recent years and I found it was getting harder and harder to hear and it felt and sounded like I had a ball of cotton in my ear all the time. After a hearing test a month ago we were informed that the loss had gotten severe and that I needed hearing aids. After meeting with the doctor we found a pair of hearing aids that would work for me because since my hearing loss was severe I needed a larger and more powerful aid. The only problem? They are $5000 and insurance will not cover anything. We are hoping to raise money, even if its just a little, to help with the costs. It is urgent because the hospital we go to has a 'pay up front' policy and we haven't been able to order them because we cant afford them. The sooner we have the money, the sooner we can order them and the sooner I can hear again!
