Hey everyone my daughter Kaelynn Rearick is in desperate need of new hearing aides. She has not had a new pair since 2012. Her hearing aides have been broken for 11 months now . We have been trying aimlessly to get her a new pair and we are not getting anywhere. I am on the phone with the insurance company daily along with her Dr who I will say is absolutely amazing and has been wonderful in this whole process.  The insurance company keeps denying her claim and they state "she does not meet clinical criteria." Kaelynn has had hearing aides since she was 3 years old. She has sensorineural hearing loss in both ears her hearing has progressively  gotten worse over the years and these hearing aides are her lively hood. She is unable to work right now because she can't hear without her hearing aides. She is pretty good at reading lips but with Covid she cannot read lips do to mask wearing. This is now a safety issue as well. She can't hear high pitched frequency at all without aides so that  mean alarms of all types.  She is struggling and it is heart  breaking to not be able to help your child.  Kaelynn is a pretty amazing young women who very rarely asks for help for anything or anybody. She is beautiful, smart, and very independent . She is currently living in Chicago and trying to be able to work but this is very difficult without her aides.  Thank you all for listening to our story I know it is hard times for everyone so if you are able to help that is wonderful if not I totally understand.
