Support for Heather while she recovers from brain surgery

Hi, I'm starting a fundraiser for my mom, Heather Luna-Rose. After weeks of being in and out of the hospital, Heather, underwent brain surgery on August 1st at Victoria General Hospital. The recovery has been more difficult than we had anticipated. Heather has had multiple trips back to the ER in the past 5 weeks. Heather applied for medical EI after being discharged from VGH, however, no money has come through yet. Disability assistance is not an option.

My mom lives very simply but the cost of her new expensive medications, basic groceries and living expenses are adding up. Heather has been trying to work again to support herself, but it's taking a toll on her recovery and her health. It has been recommended by multiple doctors that she take 3 months off work.

I'm asking for donations from family and friends, so my mom can spend more time recovering and prioritizing her medical needs without having to worry about going back to work immediately.
