In memory of our son and brother Reece Hughes who died by suicide in 2021, we'd like to show kindness and generosity to others in need of a little help and encouragement in staying positive and hopeful when the stresses and strains of life are becoming overwhelming.
Since establishing this fund in 2022 we have given to a number of projects and organisations.
- Supporting the charity Mercy UK in setting up a new project for those in some kind of crisis - https://www.mercyuk.org/ This includes therapeutic support, counselling and provides fitness and help from a nutritionist
- Sponsoring the training of Mental Health Ambassadors at Midsomer Norton Rugby Club (Reece's home club) - http://midsomernortonrfc.rfu.club/
- Establishing a Creative Expression award at his own secondary school, Somervale School (Midsomer Norton).
- Supporting James' Place charity in their work with men who are struggling with a suicidal crisis.
