In December of 2019, we froze in fear when the doctor confirmed that my six-year old grandson, Damian, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.  Damian is an extraordinary and cheerful little guy.  Loves fishing on the weekends and going on road trips with Dad.  After his first round of chemo this past week, Damian continued to be strong, jolly and motivated to go back home to be a normal kid, enjoy his toys (mostly his collection of semi-truck toys) and being with Mom and Dad.  Mom and Dad's world changed instantly as their reality turns to caring for a cancer patient.  They too, need the love and support to keep them strong and help them fight this battle and soon win the war!  Damian will continue to receive chemotherapy and medical care for the next two years and will require intensive home care.  

Chemotherapy will weaken Damian's immune system down to zero which makes him extremely vulnerable to infections.  Due to his delicate immune system, the home will need some modifications, sterilization, home filtration, etc.   Daily medical supplies, daily necessities and the items mentioned above are a huge expense that are not covered by the insurance.

With the high cost of living combined with the home care expense, funds are getting tighter.
